Went to the Front Bar on Friday Night - Was not overly busy, but after waiting over 40+ minutes for battered fish and chips + Lamb, cancelled order. Was told twice food was coming, but it didn't. While I can understand sometimes delays occur, disappointed we weren't told off the bat of the potential delay. Ordered a pizza from home and was told it would be ready in twenty minutes and it was. If it's good enough for a pizza place, it should be good enough for a restaurant/bar. Customers deserve respect.
We've been coming here for years and they have always been warm, welcoming and friendly. The food and coffee are always well worth dropping past. Nothing is to much trouble and there's always a smile.
This place is one of the best places I have ever visited for food. I visited during a work trip with 3 others. Everything we had was spot on (mine was just scrambled eggs and bacon on toast, all was spot on and the bread was so fresh I was raving about it). Someone ordered chips for the table and oh my gosh, I do not exaggerate - THEY WERE THE BEST CHIPS ANY OF US HAD EVER EATEN!!! Sorry for all the yelling but I had to. I live in Perth but I swear the next time I visit Victoria I will drive all the way up here again just for the chips..and everything else that was exceptional.
The coffee is fantastic, their pastries and cakes are first rate. Nice atmosphere, very friendly staff and will appointed. Takeaway coffee can be a bit slow but it's definitely worth the wait. Highly recommended.
All the foods is good only you have to ask few times for adding water. And the guy that works not friendly for not responding when my husband asking him. He is doing nothing Infront the Cash registered. Other staff members is very good. Thanks.
